Monday, 10th February was the first proper bit of snow fall of winter around here. We've had a few overnight dustings of course, before and since, but so far this has been the one and only proper covering of the season and with so much wet and windy weather, it could be all the snow we see this winter, who knows?!
I'd had a meeting at head office in the morning but was so glad I was home in time to get out for a walk in the snow
The next morning the snow was still lying, well, some of it was, and a little more fell through the morning. We had a Wildlings session on the Roaches. We went out with all the usual kit but sadly, no little people came to join us (we were hoping the snow would tempt them out!)
Not too worry though, us three grown up children had a lovely morning outdoors!
I felt so lucky that not only did I get some very fresh (❄️❄️) air and time outdoors in the snow that morning, I actually got paid to be there. I love this job!! *
Have you seen any snow yet this winter?
*Disclaimer, it's not always good of course and it's definitely not all play! The last week - one very wet and windy half term - is a case in point... day after day of cold and wet, taking sopping wet kit back after every session and spreading it wherever we could to dry out (I can't remember the last time we had a dry kit session to be honest!), with what was described as "tarpageddon" in one of the classrooms towards the end of the week 😂

Sunshine and Snow
It has been a cold week here... Monday was a beautiful winter day, sunshine and blue sky yet cold enough the lakes and ponds stayed iced over all day. I managed to get outdoors for an hour to enjoy it...
On Tuesday and Wednesday it snowed. I had supply work in a school in Cheshire both days, which meant a beautiful drive each way and gave me the chance to take a few photos...

Wintry Scenes
After enjoying a couple of walks in the snow at the weekend, it snowed again here on Tuesday afternoon. Not a huge amount, just enough to give the landscape the winter wonderland look :)
A bit of fresh snowfall overnight meant waking up to a more beautiful scenes on Wednesday morning and I was able to head out for an hour as the sun was rising to enjoy them...
A post of few words, I don't think I needed to say a lot, the pictures say it all!
