Day 198 - A Tawny Owl on a Foggy Day
My best wild moment today was meeting a tawny owl on my way to school!
As I was driving along one of the lanes, it flew across the road and landed in a tree just in front of me. I stopped, grabbed the camera and took a photo but the settings were all wrong from the previous use and it was a pretty rubbish photo.
I was watching the owl and the owl was looking down at me but I changed the settings, aimed the camera and had the owl nicely in shot, about to push the button - then he did what birds always do at that point and I ended up with a nice photo of an empty branch! Oh well! It was still great to see it and be so close :)
After that, I just enjoyed the weather...

How exciting! I'd love to see one in the wild! I saw a barn owl in the North Yorkshire moors (and got a far off picture of it!) but would love to see a Twny!x
