A full day volunteering with Derbyshire Wildlife Trust today for the monthly Family Forest School sessions at Carsington Water.
Today we were making christmas decorations. We used saws to cut 'santa sticks'
which we then decorated to look like Father Christmas...
We made ribbon christmas trees using a stick collected in the woods with ribbons tied on...
and we made festive coloured elves using paracord and some knots...
We used hand drills to make robins...
and also made star decorations and mini willow wreaths.
The site was extremely muddy today so we went home absolutely filthy and pretty tired, but we had a great day outdoors!

That is one muddy pair of legs. What wonderful, creatoive festive. Crafts. I'm v impress at the innovations!
