I had a full day outdoors today running a wildplay day for Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. Today's session was a Wildplay for 8-13 years olds, where children are left with us for the day and we generally let the children decide what they want to do.
Den building is always the favourite, so we spent all morning in the woods making dens and rope swings and then after lunch we looked at birds (mostly coots and their babies) through binoculars, did a bit of pond dipping in the lake followed by a whole hour bug hunting in the meadow before it was time to go home.
I rarely have time to take many photos at Wildplay but I did manage a few in the afternoon...
