This evening, there was a bit of drama in the garden. A sparrowhawk took a female house sparrow but managed to get tangled up in some netting by the pond and drop the dead bird. Pa freed the bird, then came to tell me about it and said to get my camera and wait for the bird to return for the kill, which it did, about 15 minutes later. I only wish Pa had called me before he freed the sparrowhawk!
That strip of netting is on the pond to protect the tadlets for a little while.
It's a beauty. Glad your Dad managed to free it unharmed. X
